I was wrong about one of the files not existing X3
v3.20d has a known bug with creating the dsts.ini file for the first time. If you're running v3.20d, you'll need to create the dsts.ini file yourself, just a single line should do it:
Date=Jan 1 2026
My daily counts have been the same for weeks now, despite restarting the software, the server hardware, and reloading configurations at least 5 times each.
Is this a known glitch, or is this operator error somehow?
Can you elaborate? Daily counts of what? Seen where?
The ctrl/dsts.ini file is what tracks Synchronet "daily statistics" and ctrl/csts.tab logs each dailys "cumulative statistics". Are those files getting updated?

All of the daily statistics on the start page have been stuck at the same numbers for over a month, is something wrong with my timed events?

Follow up: Apparently they don't exist, do I just make the files and see if they get updated?
It sounds like a bug that was fixed 8 months ago (after the release of v3.20d): https://gitlab.synchro.net/main/sbbs/-/commit/9eaeedc13950d1ec26af5963aa92baOk, nvm, counts still don't reset. All the numbers on both BullsEye and the server software itself will not reset. All-time counts are fine, daily counts don't reset on a per-day basis...

Sure. Or do you have any dsts.* file in the ctrl directory at all?

I deleted and remade both files, it seems to work now.
Thanks!

Are you dsts.ini and csts.tab files getting updated? They contain date/time stamps.
I just nuked the server and it still doesn't update the files. I feel like I'm gonna lose it lol
I'll ask again: what's in the files?
Also, the log output of the server can give good clues as to when the stats were last rolled-over. Look for logged messages like these:
sbbs: evnt BBS Events New Day - Prev: Fri Nov 14 2025 12:00 am
sbbs: term Node 11 <Guest> New day detected
Do you see them?

I don't know what you mean by "nuked the server", can you clarify?

Re-installed everything.
All the original files and settings are gone and it still doesn't work...

There was never anything in the files because they never updated or even generated properly

And the log files? I asked about them. Certainly you have log output from the Synchronet servers, right?
